Scholarship for Admission to Secondary One (Sep 2019 Intake)

Download Application Form

Our school pioneered 'one school two streams' to fully actualize the "bi-literate and tri-lingual language policy" in 2000. Since then, the EMI (English as the Medium of Instruction) stream has been in operation. Starting from 2013/14, all junior secondary classes (S1 - S3) have adopted English as the medium of instruction. Putonghua is used as the medium of instruction in Chinese Language and Chinese History for all levels.

Our students have achieved excellent results in the HKDSE. The rates of attaining Level 2 (pass rate) or above and Level 4 (credit rate) or above have been higher than those of Hong Kong schools. The credit rates have been over 50%. Many of our S6 students have achieved distinguished results. The graduate of 2013, LAM Ho Tung, the graduates of 2014, LAI Wan Ying and LI Kin Hei as well as the graduates of 2016, LIU Munan and LAM Man Ting achieved Level 5** or Level 5* in six subjects in the HKDSE and were admitted to the undergraduate programme offered by the School of Medicine of HKU or CUHK. In 2018, there were 108 out of 174 or 62% S6 graduates admitted to the undergraduate programmes offered by Hong Kong tertiary institutions through the Joint University Programmes Admission System (JUPAS). 45 of them were admitted to the undergraduate programmes of the University of Hong Kong (13 students), the Chinese University of Hong Kong (18 students) as well as the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (14 students). LAM Jinn Laan was admitted to the undergraduate programme offered by the School of Medicine of CUHK whereas KWOK On Ki was admitted to the undergraduate programme of the Faculty of Law offered by HKU. In addition, our S.5 student Michael CHUNG achieved 3A* in the International Advanced Levels (IAL) Exam and has been admitted by University College London (UCL) to study Biomedicine.

Our school has set up more than 70 extra-curricular activity (ECA) clubs and interest groups. Our students take part in various competitions and have won many prizes and awards. In 2017/18, our students took home 60 champions, 64 first runners-up, 87 second runners-up/third runners-up and 445 certificates of merit, totaling 656 awards. In sport, our swimming, basketball, badminton, table-tennis and girls cross-country teams are competing in Inter-school Division 1. Our school was ranked first among 190 co-ed schools in 2017/18.
